Listing a Customizable Product using Custom

1. Create your listing (this is the same process as if your product was not customizable.) Here are some helpful links to get you started:

• • • Add one product at a time (only available in certain categories, for more info, click here)

2. If your product is a variation:

• • • If you are listing a product and adding your own variations, please click to Use Add a Product to create variations.
    • If you are creating variations in bulk or for an existing product that is not created by you, please click to Variation Wizard.

3. Once your listing is live and online, make sure your inventory is set to at least ‘1’ until your product has been enabled with customization.

4. Go to Inventory, Manage Inventory, and select Custom Products If you don’t see Custom Products, please make sure that you have already registered for Custom. If you need to register, please register here.

5. Find the listing that you want to configure and click Enable Customization/Edit. If you plan to do bulk upload for single surface text, you can skip Enable Customization, since your feed will enable Customization for each ASIN in your template.

6 .Add the customization information. Here are our options to enable customization:

• • • For text customization:

2£©Configure via bulk upload for text on a single surface/area. Please note that it’s recommended to do at least one via the one-by-one method and reference the bulk upload template as you are configuring your ASIN.

• • • For image customization: Currently, you can only setup image customization one-by-one. If you need help, follow our step-by-step directions.

• • • For product configuration: Currently, you can only setup product configuration one-by-one. If you need help, follow our step-by-step directions.

Things to remember

• Your product must be listed as New.
• Custom Products must be fulfilled by you and not by Amazon.
• Add descriptive details about your products:

1£©Be sure to be explicit in your title that your product is customizable

2£©At least one of the points in your description should indicate that your product is customizable

• Prepare product images and Add product images:

1£©Include images that show what the product looks like after customization.

• Optimize your Keywords
• When you create your listing, verify its appearance on desktop and mobile, since the listing’s appearance varies. Always consider the experience for mobile users. For example, if you create a listing on desktop and have instructions for the buyer on one of the preview images, such as “enter text into the boxes on the right,” you could confuse mobile users because the text boxes display below the preview image.
